These terms apply to all enquiries and bookings made with Maison D’Lux Cakes.
Enquiries and Bookings
Submitting an enquiry through this website does not guarantee availability or confirm a booking. A booking is only considered confirmed once we have agreed the details of your order with you directly and received any required deposit. We recommend enquiring as early as possible, particularly for weekend and peak-season dates, as availability is limited.
Quotes and Pricing
Prices are provided on a bespoke basis and depend on the size, design, complexity and ingredients of your order. A quote is valid for a limited period and may be subject to change if the design, quantity or requirements are later amended. Final pricing will always be confirmed with you before your booking is secured.
Deposits and Payment
A deposit is required to secure your booking, with the remaining balance due ahead of collection or delivery. Payment details are provided securely on your individual invoice once your order is confirmed — we don't publish our payment information here, to protect our customers from anyone falsely posing as Maison D'Lux Cakes. Full details of the deposit amount and payment deadlines will be confirmed with you directly when your order is agreed.
Changes to Cake Designs and Orders
We understand that plans can change, and we will always try to accommodate amendments to your design or order wherever possible. Changes requested close to your event date may not always be possible, particularly once ingredients have been ordered or preparation has begun, so please let us know of any changes as early as you can.
Cancellation and Refunds
If you need to cancel or postpone your order, please contact us as soon as possible. Because ingredients, time and materials are reserved specifically for your order once booked, cancellations made close to your event date may not be eligible for a full refund. Specific cancellation and refund terms will be confirmed with you at the time of booking.
Collection and Delivery
Cakes and desserts can be collected or, where available, delivered by arrangement. Collection and delivery times are agreed with you in advance and it is important that these are kept to, as our creations are delicate and time-sensitive. Once a cake or dessert has been collected or delivered, we are unable to accept responsibility for its condition.
Cake Storage and Care
We will provide guidance on how to store and care for your cake or dessert at the time of collection or delivery. Please follow this guidance closely, as incorrect storage — such as exposure to heat or direct sunlight, or being left unrefrigerated for an extended period — can affect the appearance, texture and safety of your order.
Allergens and Dietary Requirements
All of our cakes and desserts are halal, vegetarian and alcohol-free. However, our kitchen handles common allergens, and products may contain or come into contact with nuts, gluten, dairy, egg and soya. We cannot guarantee that any item is completely free from allergens. If you have an allergy or specific dietary requirement, please let us know when placing your order so we can advise accordingly.
Customer-Provided Inspiration and Images
We welcome reference images and inspiration to help bring your vision to life. These are used as guidance rather than an exact replica, as every cake is handcrafted by hand and small variations in design, colour and detail should be expected. Where inspiration images include a design created by another baker or business, we use them for creative inspiration only, not for direct replication.
Liability and Circumstances Beyond Our Control
We take great care in the creation, handling and preparation of every order. However, we cannot be held responsible for circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including illness, extreme weather, courier or delivery delays, or other unforeseen events that may affect your order. Where such circumstances arise, we will always communicate with you as early as possible and do everything we reasonably can to find a suitable solution.

By submitting an enquiry or placing an order with Maison D’Lux Cakes, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms may be updated from time to time; the version published on this page at the time of your order will apply.
